Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Peru!
Upon arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima (154m|505ft), you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel in the district of Miraflores. Enjoy free time to rest and begin acclimatizing at your own pace.

Day 2: A taste of Lima – Cultural and Heritage Highlights (B/L)
Lima is widely hailed as the culinary capital of the Americas, where ancient traditions meet bold innovation in one of the world’s most exciting food scenes.
In this tour you will experience a great combination of our culture and cuisine. Visit a market to know the most used Peruvian native products in our gastronomy. A brief walk through the historic center where you will taste cacao and pisco. Back to Miraflores and learn how to prepare the famous ceviche. After a light lunch, a final visit to the bohemian district of Barranco to enjoy the ocean view and picarones, a typical dessert.

Day 3: Culinary Heritage of Arequipa and market visit (B/L)
Nestled in the Andes at an altitude of 2,335 meters (7,660 feet), Arequipa is a city where culinary tradition is deeply intertwined with its rich colonial history and vibrant cultural fusion. Known as the “White City” for its baroque architecture built from volcanic sillar stone, Arequipa is also a capital of flavor—where Spanish, Indigenous, and African influences blend on every plate. At the heart of its food culture are the picanterías, rustic and lively eateries that have preserved centuries-old recipes and techniques. These traditional kitchens serve boldly flavored dishes like rocoto relleno, adobo, and chupe de camarones, each telling a story of local identity, resilience, and pride. To taste Arequipa is to taste the soul of Peru’s mestizo heritage.
Today, you will taste more than 15 typical Peruvian foods and drinks from Arequipa and its region. Interact with some of our local hosts to learn all about guinea pig and alpaca, and discover all the secrets of preparing the ocopa with a traditional andean “batán”. You will learn all the historical and cultural details behind each dish and drink that you will have the opportunity to taste during this gastronomic walking tour through the city of Arequipa.

Day 4: Colca Canyon Expedition (B)
Set off on a two-day adventure to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world. As you travel through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, keep your eyes peeled for wild vicuñas grazing on the altiplano. Descend into the Colca Valley, a land of terraced fields, ancient Andean traditions, and breathtaking scenery.
Marvel at the dramatic landscapes and prepare for the possibility of spotting the majestic Andean condor gliding over the canyon walls.

Day 5: Colca Canyon – Back to Arequipa (B)
After lunch, depart for Arequipa city to rest and prepare yourself for the next destination.

Day 6: Arequipa to Cusco (B)
Take a domestic flight from Arequipa to Cusco (3.400 ). Welcome to Qosqo, theancient capital of the Inca Empire, a sacred city, populated with palaces and stone temples. Its neighbourhoods and divisions reflected the organizational principles of the Inca cosmovision, such as the duality (Hanan and Hurin). Upon the old structure of its neighbourhoods, on which the political hierarchies of the lineages of the Inca aristocracy or “panacas” were organized, large houses, churches and colonial squares were built.

Day 7: Walking Cusco City Tour – Inca & Colonial Treasures (B)
This full day walking experience will take you to the most important places in the city of Cusco, starting with the upper Cusco and the Sacsayhuaman Temple. We will then walk down on foot along the beautiful Inca road that connected to the city taking a few steps off the beaten tourist paths, through the Kolkampata Barrio, now known as the San Cristobal, where Manco Capac Palace, the mythical founder of Cusco, is located.
From here, we will continue down through 7 Borreguitos Street, and on to Tandapata street towards the Tokokachi neighbourhood, today San Blas, or the artisans’ neighbourhood.
We will continue along 7 Diablitos Street until we reach the Mirador.
A break before we head down to lower Cusco where we find the Rimajpampa Barrio; on the way we will stop at the famous twelve angles stone, and the Plaza de armas. Along the way we will observe the foundation of the Inca walls and imagining what this city was like in the time of the Incas.
We can have launch in a popular picanteria, and then we continue the route to the Temple of the Sun – Qoricancha, the true sacred centre of the ancient city. From here we go to Haucaypata, the old ceremonial plaza of the Incas, today the Plaza de Armas. We take the royal road or Qapac Ñan towards the Contisuyo, on the way, we pass by San Francisco plaza, where the Glorious National School of Sciences is located, recognized as the 1st School of the Republic of Peru. Continuing the Inca road that goes to the Chaquilchaca neighbourhood (Barrio Almudena), we will end at the San Pedro Market exploring local products.

Day 8: Farm & Food Experience in the Sacred Valley of the Incas (B/L)
This is a special day to learn about Cusco and the Sacred Valley gastronomy, discovering the amazing variety of local agricultural resources and biodiversity, to later put into practice a traditional Andean cooking interaction. At Huayllafara, in the hights of the Sacred Valley, you will discover the amazing variety of Andean agricultural resources and biodiversity, plus a cooking lesson in Lamay Village.
People from the Community will take you to their farms to teach you about Andean traditional farming techniques and tools while tasting some local products. You will learn about local culture through their daily activities. The tour and interpretation will be focused on the ancient but ongoing agricultural and food processing techniques, such as the preparation of “chuño” (freeze-dried potato), the washing and uses of quinoa, elaboration of Chicha de Jora (germinated corn brew) and other interesting Andean techniques.
Finally, you will return to Lamay village for some cooking lessons. The idea is to prepare Peruvian classics with native Andean products.
Overnight in Cusco or Ollantaytambo
Day 9: Full-Day Excursion to Machu Picchu (B)
Leave early in the morning for your journey to Machu Picchu. Depending on logistics, you’ll either take the train from Poroy (3.5 hours) or transfer to Ollantaytambo by car (1.5 hours) and then take a 1.5-hour train ride to Aguas Calientes.
From there, a short bus ride brings you to the entrance of Machu Picchu. Perched between two Andean peaks, this majestic citadel is one of the greatest architectural and cultural achievements of pre-Columbian America. A guided tour (2.5–3 hours) will reveal the mystery and genius of the site before returning to Aguas Calientes for lunch and catching the train back to Cusco.

Day 10: Free day and Farewell Peru (B)
Today you’ll take your domestic flight from Cusco to Lima in time to connect with your international departure. Enjoy a free day. Cusco is the perfect city to explore on foot, with its charming streets, hidden corners, and quiet plazas. Take advantage of the day to indulge in its rich culinary scene—whether you’re in the mood for refined dining, creative fusion, traditional Andean fare, or fresh vegetarian dishes. Cusco invites you to savor the authentic flavors of the Andes, one plate at a time.
