Day 5: Pisac, Inkariy Museum & Ollantaytambo (B)
Start the day with an early drive into the stunning Sacred Valley of the Incas. Your first stop is the hilltop archaeological site of Pisac (2,950 m / 9,678 ft), where sweeping valley views and a sophisticated system of agricultural terraces reveal the brilliance of Inca engineering. Afterward, visit the colorful Pisac market, a great spot to browse local crafts and Andean textiles.
Continue along the Urubamba River to the Inkariy Museum, which brings Peru’s ancient cultures to life through immersive, full-scale exhibits. It’s a fascinating and accessible introduction to pre-Hispanic history. We suggest stopping here for lunch (not included)—a delicious, homemade meal prepared by the museum founder’s family.
End the day in Ollantaytambo (2,792 m / 9,160 ft), a charming town of cobbled streets and Inca stonework. Day 6: Maras Salt Mines & Immersive Quechua Community Experience (B/L)

From there, travel deeper into the Sacred Valley to spend the day with an authentic Quechua community, just 1.5 hours from Cusco. This is a rare opportunity to experience Andean culture firsthand—from daily life and local traditions to spiritual practices rooted in a deep respect for nature. Take part in a traditional ceremony of gratitude to Pachamama (Mother Earth), a moving ritual that reflects the spiritual heart of Andean life.
Enjoy an Andean lunch with a local family in their home, and engage in open, respectful exchange—sharing stories, customs, and perspectives. This meaningful encounter offers a more personal and responsible way to connect with the people of the Sacred Valley, far from the tourist crowds.

Day 9: Full-Day Excursion to Machu Picchu – A Journey in Luxury (B/L/D)
Get ready for one of the most memorable days of your trip. Your journey to Machu Picchu begins with a private transfer from Cusco to the Rio Sagrado train station. From there, step aboard the Belmond Hiram Bingham, one of the most luxurious trains in the world. Inspired by 1920s Pullman cars, this gleaming blue-and-gold train offers an unforgettable travel experience: plush interiors, white-glove service, live music, and gourmet Peruvian cuisine served as you glide through the spectacular landscapes of the Andes. Sip a signature cocktail in the observation car as you pass by lush valleys, snow-capped peaks, and charming villages — the journey is truly part of the destination.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, a short and scenic bus ride takes you up the mountain to the legendary Machu Picchu. Nestled between dramatic peaks and shrouded in cloud forest mist, the “Lost City of the Incas” is nothing short of breathtaking. After exploring the citadel, return to Aguas Calientes for a relaxing overnight stay at the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel. Day 10: Enjoy a Second Entrance to Machu Picchu (B)
Have the option to enjoy a second visit to Machu Picchu, but from a whole new angle.
Instead of retracing the classic route through the citadel, you can choose from several rewarding hikes that offer breathtaking views and unique perspectives of this world wonder. Please note that access to these hikes is subject to availability and seasonal regulations.
For the adventurous, Huayna Picchu is a thrilling option. This steep and narrow trail ascends the iconic peak behind the ruins, offering dramatic aerial views of Machu Picchu. The hike is challenging, with sheer drop-offs and stone staircases, is available year-round, but with limited daily permits that sell out quickly.
Prefer a broader trail and more expansive views? Machu Picchu Mountain (Montaña Machu Picchu) climbs to a higher elevation than Huayna Picchu and offers sweeping vistas of the citadel and surrounding Andes, also requires advance booking.
For a moderate and meaningful experience, other options like Inti Punku, Huchuy Picchu are available (only in high season), Prefer to skip the hike? You’re welcome to relax and enjoy the facilities at Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel until it’s time to board your train back to Cusco.
Overnight in Cusco.
