Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Lima & City Tour
Upon arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport (Lima – 154 m), we will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Miraflores. You’ll have free time to relax and begin acclimatizing at your own pace.
We begin the day with a meeting at the hotel to review the travel itinerary and hand over your travel documents. Then, you will have the option to explore some of Lima’s most remarkable cultural treasures in a Half Day City Tour Lima.
Which includes a visit to the Convent of Santo Domingo, an architectural place that synthesizes the peak of colonial architecture and the importance of religious life in the colony. It is possible to climb the tower for observation. We finish the visit in the Plaza de Armas, watching the change of the Guard in the Government Palace (subject to the official program of activities). Return to Miraflores.

Day 2: Lima to Amazon Jungle (B/L/D)
Take a domestic flight from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado. Upon arrival at Puerto Maldonado airport, you will be met by a guide from the hotel and head to the office where we will do the guest check-in and go through the recommended packing list.

Day 3: Amazon Jungle (B/L/D)
Very early we will have a 10-minute boat ride to collpa La Torre, a cliff of 4 meters height and 20 meters long, that holds a lot of clay peeks, needed for these birds diet. Macaws, parrots, periqueets and some mammals, like deer, capibaras and squirrels come here to eat. You will seat on a hiding spot 30mts away from the collpa, an excellent observation point.
At sundown, we will ride a boat around the Tambopata river to enjoy the sounds of the jungle invading the night. Also, we will be able to spot the constellations of the stars, the south ones, as Scorpios, Sagittarius, the southern cross, etc. We will carry a flashlight, to be able to spot caimans, capibaras or chotacabras in the river meadows.

Day 4: Amazon Jungle (B/L/D)
After breakfast (7 am) we will return to Puerto Maldonado and then on to the airport. Your guide will accompany you to the airport and help you with the check-in process for your flight back to Cusco.

Day 5: Cusco City Tour – Inca & Colonial Treasures (B)
Explore Cusco’s surrounding archaeological sites, starting with the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, followed by visits to Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and Q’enko. Back in the city, enter the Cathedral of Cusco, a masterpiece of colonial art, and finish at the Qoricancha, the once-glorious Inca Temple of the Sun, later transformed into a Dominican convent.

Day 6: FD Sacred Valley - Pisaq, Ollantaytambo (B/L)
We will go towards the Incas Sacred Valley. There we will find Pisaq village (2,950 m), where we will visit one of the main architectural complexes of the Incas. Pisaq’s archaeological site is located at the top of the village and its domains the valley from the south, offering spectacular views. Its sophisticated system of farming terraces permits us to understand the importance of agriculture in the Andes and the techniques they used during the Inca empire. Then, we will have some time to wander about Pisaq village. Later, we will continue along the Urubamba river bank to Ollantaytambo. We will stop to have lunch on the way.
In the afternoon we will arrive in Ollantaytambo. Its ruins are beautiful and surrounded by mountains, the valley vastness, the river and cobblestone streets with tile houses and roofs. We will walk over the village by visiting the Fortress and citadel, built to control the access to this part of the valley and protect it from invasions. We will also walk through little streets so that we can understand how this military, religious and cultural centre worked during the Inca empire.
Finally, take a train to Aguas Calientes to spend the night and prepare yourself for the highlight of the trip.

Day 7: Journey to Machu Picchu (B)
Depart early from Ollantaytambo by train to Aguas Calientes (approx. 1.5 hrs), followed by a short bus ride to Machu Picchu. Explore the legendary “Lost City of the Incas” on a guided tour (2.5–3 hrs), marveling at its terraces, temples, and breathtaking mountain views.
Then, take the train back to Ollantaytambo or Cusco, depending on the schedule.

Day 8: Sacred Valley: Maras Salt Pans - Moray (B)
Today we head to the impressive salt mines of Maras, actively in use to the present day. We will see how the villagers removed the salt with a technique inherited from generation to generation since pre -Inca times.
Then we will go to Moray, an ancient agricultural laboratory located 7 Kilometers from Maras. On natural giant crevices called “Dolinas”, the Incas and their predecessors built a series of terraces or concentric terraces with their respective irrigation canals; what is striking is the difference in the average annual temperature between the top and the bottom of the terraces and in each of the levels. It is a difference that reaches up to 15 ° C. As a result, each year they could plan and control agricultural production throughout the territory, characterized by large differences in altitude and climate variability. Here is where amazing advances in agriculture allowed the expansion of the Inca state.

Day 9: Cusco to Puno – Altiplano Discovery (B/L)
Travel from Cusco to Puno on a scenic tourist bus with onboard service. he trip takes ten hours, but our stops and the passages that we take will make this a fun and rewarding day trip; this route fills our hearts with landscape and history.
We will have guided tours to the Pukara museum; we will pass through La Raya (highest point of the journey at 4,335 meters above sea level), the archaeological complex of Raqchi and the Andahuaylillas temple.
You will arrive in the city of Puno (3,800 meters above sea level) at around 17 hours.

Day 10: Lake Titicaca – Uros & Amantaní (B/L/D)
Begin your Lake Titicaca exploration with a boat ride across its vast, shimmering waters. Visit the Uros floating islands, crafted entirely from totora reeds by one of the oldest known communities in the Americas. Despite modern changes, the Uros people have preserved their unique way of life and building techniques.
Continue to Amantaní Island, where you’ll be welcomed by your host family. After being shown to your accommodation, enjoy the peaceful rhythms of island life.

Day 11: Taquile Island & Return to Puno (B/L)
Rise early to watch the sunrise or assist with collecting fishing nets (optional). After breakfast, depart Amantaní and sail to Taquile Island. On arrival, hike gently up to the main plaza where you’ll learn about Taquile’s renowned textile traditions—especially the intricate work of the island’s male knitters.
Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before descending via a scenic trail to the dock. Return to Puno by boat in the afternoon.

Day 12: Farewell Peru (B)
Today you’ll have your international departure. Take a domestic flight from Puno to Lima, then have a connection with your international flight. We hope this journey has brought you closer to the heart of Peru.
